Background and Aim: The purpose of this study is to analysis published articles about the evaluation of medical scientific products in the Web of Science database.
Materials and Methods: This is a quantitative research that is based on Literature Review. The statistical population consists of 55 research publications that is published in valid international journals on the review of medical scientific products of Iran on the Web of Science.
Results: Findings show that during 2006-20016 about 35 articles reviewed the scientific outputs of medical universities and others examined the scientific outputs of a particular subject area, in which the pharmaceutical and surgical fields have the most research. 60.6% of the researches were published by specialists in the field of knowledge and information science, and 39.4% published by medical specialists. Among the universities, Iran University of Medical Sciences and among individuals, Hafez Mohammad Hassanzadeh Asfijani were recognized as the most prolific. Most researches have been published using the Scientometric Approach, and Pajek software has been used more widely among scientific software. Among the published articles, articles with two and three author were more distributed.
Conclusion: The published articles have quantitative tendency and confusion in choice in terms and idioms.
